School of Business and Leadership
DePauw University’s new School of Business and Leadership at Harrison Hall embodies a modern vision for learning, with carefully coordinated design elements fostering collaboration, entrepreneurship, and leadership experiences. KBSO Consulting provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and low voltage technology (MEPT) design in support of the building’s innovative features. The renovation of the historic 3-story red brick hall includes HVAC infrastructure replacement, shared event space, a case study room, and a trading room equipped with Bloomberg terminals. Seamlessly integrated audio visual and telecommunication infrastructure enhance flexible classrooms to accommodate multiple learning styles. Compact MEPT system layouts within extremely tight spaces allow architectural plans for open working spaces, including partial removal of one floor to create a 2-story atrium with ample natural light. Warm LED lighting supplements the natural light throughout Harrison Hall to provide an inviting environment for collaboration, learning, and entrepreneurship. As DePauw University continues a tradition of nurturing leaders, KBSO is proud to have contributed our design towards the establishment of a business school dedicated to teaching ethical leadership practices.
