Kelley BieghlerManaging Partner
Kelley has 30 years of experience in project and team leadership. She is devoted to building relationships and creating highly collaborative and effective teams. She is known for pushing the envelope to reach the best engineered solution. Her experience ranges from leading the national engineering effort for a reimagined and sustainable HVAC system for a national skilled nursing developer/operator to designing the first Indiana chilled beam health center for Eskenazi Health.
Kelley has a mind for business and as a true entrepreneur she is constantly thinking about individual needs and gaps throughout the industry that need filled. Her passion is to be helpful not only to her clients but to all of those around her.
Seun Odukomaiya, PEManaging Partner
Seun is known throughout the industry as a leader in energy modeling and has often been called upon by other MEP engineers to perform energy modeling services. His passion for sustainable systems is demonstrated by his designs on various healthcare projects including the Eskenazi Hospital patient tower and the Cummins Wellness Center.
When Seun has free time, he enjoys giving back to the industry by educating impressionable young leaders at the collegiate level on the importance of energy sustainable systems.
Kipp CoxSr. Plumbing Designer
Kipp first started in engineering in college at Purdue University. He had the opportunity to intern at a local engineering firm and realized he found his niche. The projects he finds most challenging and fulfilling are higher education projects regardless of the building type. Kipp has been with KBSO since May 2018 and brings his 27 years of experience to our firm.
Whether coaching softball, going to concerts, or hanging out with friends and family, Kipp strives to be outdoors as much as possible.
Adam ThomasPlumbing Designer
Adam has always loved math but was influenced by his father who works in architecture. He enjoys having found a career where he can combine his two interests. Here at KBSO, Adam has been able to work on healthcare, mixed use, higher education, and commercial projects that have allowed him to expand his horizons and experience a little bit of everything. He joined KBSO in March of 2017.
He likes being able to travel, outdoor recreation, playing and watching basketball, volleyball, and football in his free time.
Matt Minnich, RCDD, CTS-DSystems Engineer
Matt has 18 years of technology design experience. He knows just how fast technology can change over time and the huge impact it makes when it comes to the user experience. Matt understands how important technology is for safety and security in the education sector. Part of his excitement in coming to KBSO in February of 2019 was being able to break into multiple market sectors and showcase the newest technologies and how it is impacting the future of the building industry.
Matt enjoy being able to spend time with his wife and two daughters on the weekend. He also enjoys running, playing basketball, and golfing.
Rachel Davies, CPA/ABVBusiness Operations Manager
Rachel joined KBSO in June of 2018 and is responsible for overseeing all of the financial functions of the company as well as strategic development. She also works with the administrative team to manage the company’s human resources and marketing functions. Prior to joining KBSO as the Business Operations Manager, Rachel spent 15 years working in financial roles including over 10 years in public accounting. Rachel is a Certified Public Accountant and has a B.A. in Accounting and a B.A. in Music Business from Belmont University.
When not in the office, she can be found entertaining her son and cheering for her hometown sports teams in Pittsburgh.
Malcolm Wells IIPlumbing Designer
Malcolm chose to pursue engineering as he feels it is one of the few fields that can completely change the way you see the world around you. It is a world that is constantly challenging creativity and requires complex problem solving. He enjoys working on systems in the healthcare market specifically medical gas systems. He finds being able to work on systems in the ICU or in surgery centers very fulfilling. He has worked in the engineering industry for four years and shows vast amounts of experience in Revit and BIM coordination.
Malcolm spends his time out of the office playing with his two kids, watching combat sports with friends, or enjoying a chess game.
Joe Bogenschutz, PESr. Electrical Engineer
Joe provides insight into all building sectors but enjoys working on challenging remodels and projects with specialty purposes such as labs and manufacturing processes. As a child, he tinkered around with parts of lawnmowers, computers, and electronics trying to understand how they function which led him to the path of engineering. Joe has been with KBSO since March 2017.
Outside of work, he likes to be active whether it is mountain biking, cycling, hiking, traveling or listening to live music.
Jordyn GladisExecutive Assistant / HR Coordinator
Jordyn has been working in administration since her graduation from Purdue in May 2016. She enjoys making positive connections and creating new business relationships. She has taken on several human resources responsibilities and works closely with the Business Operations Manager to ensure office compliance. Jordyn has been a part of the KBSO team since March 2018.
Having traveled to four out of the seven continents, one of her goals is making a stop at each of the seven. She loves learning about different cultures and the various perspectives people have throughout the world.
Paul RecordsElectrical Designer
From childhood, Paul has always been “hands on” creating buildings and their internal systems. From Legos and Erector Sets in his youth to using the latest technologies to design electrical systems for clients, his desire to leave a mark on the world around him is apparent. His passion takes root in our higher education projects. They allow him to dig into a different level of creativity as these projects combine old and new architecture through renovations and additions. He has worked in the industry for 19 years and been a part of the team since May 2018.
Paul has a deep-seated love of soccer. He is faithful to Manchester United and when he is not coaching or playing soccer, he is supporting his local Boy Scout troop.
Bryant Tyler JrElectrical Engineer
From a young age, Bryant was destined to be an engineer. He was meticulous when he encountered gadgets and gizmos and took the time to evaluate how they functioned and how the technology within them could improve over time. As Bryant’s critical thinking skills developed throughout the years into adulthood, he found his passion in electrical engineering specifically in the K-12 market sector. He hopes to provide a foundation in which the younger generation can thrive and pursue their dreams just like he was able to do. Bryant has 5 years of engineering experience but has only recently shifted to electrical design.
Bryant continues to engage in advancements in technology through video games and exploring alternate realities by complex problem solving outside of work. Above all else, his favorite way to spend his free time is with his family as he says, “There is nothing better than family.”
Nathan Hyde, LEED APProject Manager
Nathan uses his combined construction and mechanical engineering knowledge to give him multiple perspectives when meeting with clients. Regardless of the sector, his main concern is always the client. He pursues open communication on client preferences and helps them make informed decisions to provide the best products for them. Nathan had 12 years of engineering experience when he first came to KBSO in January 2018.
Nathan enjoys and tries to play golf as often as he can but spends most of his free time hanging out with his family and watching his toddler grow.
Chris EhlersSr. Mechanical Designer
Chris has over 20 years of mechanical design experience including extensive skills in Revit. Chris finds himself drawn to our healthcare projects as healthcare is constantly changing to keep up with not only today’s needs but also the evolution of technology. Chris has been with KBSO since March 2019.
Chris prefers to be outdoors on the weekend whether fishing or hiking. He finds enjoyment in the weekend because it is time that he can spend with his family.
Sam LoveEngineering Technician
Sam started with us as an intern and showed an aptitude for HVAC design coordination in Revit so we could not let him go when college classes started back up. Sam has come on as a part-time engineering technician when he is not busy working on his mechanical engineering technology degree. Sam was inspired to pursue engineering because of his family and the role models his dad and granddad have been in his life. While he is just getting into the various market sectors we work in, he thinks that designing a healthcare project would be engaging and challenge him to think outside the box.
Sam likes to keep busy outside of work by attempting to tackle the never-ending list of project improvements with his dad on his family’s farm and spending as much time outdoors as he can.
Sabre EvansProject Manager
A part of the KBSO team since 2016, engineering was the perfect fit for Sabre since she has loved math, science, and puzzles since childhood. Her mechanical engineering degree paired with her innate hands on leadership approach has lead to the success of several projects ranging from university housing to healthcare clinics. Sabre feels connected with the communities where our projects take place especially when it comes to healthcare and education markets.
One of the most important aspects in Sabre’s life is family which has led her to Dallas, Texas where she can spend time with her father. She continues to work on projects in Indiana while expanding KBSO’s services in Texas.
Shawn ArringdaleElectrical Designer
Shawn entered into the engineering industry when he started working on fire alarm systems after graduating with his degree in Computer Drafting and Design. He likes to work on a variety of projects as each one allows him to keep up on the constant changes in the field. He has been in engineering for 15 years and started at KBSO in September of 2017.
Shawn likes to work on cars in his free time but to get away and relax he enjoys catching up on the latest movies with his family.
Jeff StiversSr. Project Engineer
Jeff started in this industry during his high school years, laboring on a six-story tall building. He credits his high school architecture and drafting teacher for guiding him in choosing the right education. He finds he has the most passion about projects as the owner, students, tenants, or patients begin occupying the building. He brought 30 years of design and construction administration experience to KBSO.
Jeff spends his time outside of work with his family and being involved in the Special Olympics. He loves working on vintage German cars and has refurbished a number of them as his own form of stress therapy.
Brad PowellMechanical Designer
Brad started in the engineering industry in 2011. He previously worked in the sheet metal industry and understands the big picture from the beginning stages of designing to the implementation of metal ductwork into HVAC systems. Brad strives to learn as quickly as possible so that he can help others improve their skills and knowledge.
Brad spends his evenings and most weekends in the fall and winter officiating high school football and basketball games around southern Indiana. As the weather gets nicer, he spends his time outside riding his Harley or ATVs with his family.
Tim LuleySr. Plumbing Designer
Tim brings 39 years of experience with him to KBSO. He felt connected with engineering as he was determined to figure out how different systems functioned and why they worked a certain way. His passion is with our healthcare projects because he believes an aging America has the need for advanced healthcare facilities.
While Tim enjoys playing tennis and fly fishing outside of work, he keeps active by studying the art of Aikido and Jodo. He has been studying the art for 30 years and is a fifth-degree black belt in Yoshinkan Aikido and second-degree black belt in Shinto Muso Ryu Jodo.
