Center for Leadership Development

The Center for Leadership Development (CLD) in Indianapolis, Indiana, provides academic and personal-growth services to thousands of people each year. After over 45 years of service, the CLD board and supporters engaged in a campaign to reach more people from historically marginalized backgrounds. As part of this campaign, CLD headquarters doubled in size with a renovation and new two-story addition. KBSO Consulting provided designs for the seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and technology systems throughout the building, which now includes a multi-purpose room, multi-function classrooms, offices, and conference spaces. Within the headquarters, high-efficiency boilers, variable air volume (VAV) handling units, and programable LED lighting reduce energy consumption and maintain a comfortable environment. Concealed cabling infrastructure maintains a clean aesthetic and supports robust telecommunication, security, and electrical systems with an expanded main distribution frame hosting new equipment racks and a new transformer accommodating the electrical load. Enhanced data systems connect advanced audiovisual equipment and extend the CLD’s reach into cyberspace. KBSO is honored to have been a part of the Center for Leadership Development’s expansion as it nurtures Central Indiana’s students, families, and future leaders for generations to come.
