Assessment & Intervention Center
KBSO Consulting was responsible for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design for the Assessment & Intervention Center at the Indianapolis-Marion County Community Justice Campus. The new building houses a control room and offices for Emergency Medical Services and the Mobile Crisis Assistance Team. It also includes ambulance and MCAT parking, patient receiving, client transfer, exam rooms, laundry, a central kitchen, a bed bug burner, and temporary housing for individuals in crisis behavioral health situations. The project achieved its goal of LEED Silver certification and included sustainability strategies, including a highly efficient central heating and cooling plant, energy recovery, and a chilled beam air distribution system.
