National Night Out

KBSO was proud to partner with the Putnam County Youth Development Commission, Putnam County Comprehensive Services, Inc. and the Greencastle Police Department in supporting the National Night Out Event being held in Putnam County on the first Tuesday of August 2019.  National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Putnam County takes it one step further by pulling together resources to provide the school age children in attendance supplies for school as they go back for the new year.

This event in Putnam County serves over 1,300 residents each year, averaging 600 adults and 700 youth, with the target audience being families with children in elementary and middle school.  KBSO was able to contribute enough pens, pencils, notebooks, folders and rulers to supply around 300 backpacks, which the amazing Putnam County Comprehensive Services group then filled and got ready for the event for the Putnam County Youth Development Commission to give to the local students in attendance.  We are proud to have been able to support this wonderful organization and community, and wish the children of Putnam County the best this 2019-20 school year!
