The Collective at Midtown

The Collective at Midtown, a three-story, 30,000-square-foot office building in downtown Carmel, was completed in early 2023. This transformative project serves as the new headquarters for KBSO Consulting and Studio M Architecture and Planning, with KBSO playing a pivotal role as the project’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology (MEPT) design consultant. KBSO’s MEPT design emphasizes efficiency, occupant comfort, and safety through a well-integrated network of building systems. Air-cooled Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology and a Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS) ensure comfortable, climate-controlled areas with fresh air ventilation. The electrical system delivers power, emergency backup, and safety through LED lighting, occupancy sensors, and addressable fire alarm systems. Tenant parking spaces feature EV chargers to support sustainable transportation, while the plumbing system provides reliable water supply and sensor-operated fixtures promote conservation. Modern telecommunications ensure robust connectivity, enabling future expansion and maintenance. This seamless integration of advanced MEPT systems creates a space that prioritizes occupant well-being and sustainability.
